Augustine Justin Mawa
Member, MACAUS Advisory Board
Augustine Mawa is a seating member on MACAUS Advisory Board and resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. He obtained a Diploma in Agriculture (Forestry) from Yambio Institute of Agriculture and A Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. Mawa acquired advanced management skills through specialized training in Management, Accounting and Marketing at the Kenya Knowhow International, Nairobi. He also underwent specialized training on the “Bridging Gap Program” conducted by the Utah Department of Health.
Mr. Mawa’s first career engagement was a Supervisor role in Reforestation and Black Tea Manufacturing with the Upper Talanga Tea Project in Sudan. After completing studies in Egypt, Mawa pursued an opportunity to relocate to the United States. While in Egypt, he was employed with the International Language and Computer Institute. In the United States, he worked for a detergent manufacturing company and, thereafter, as Coordinator for a Refugee Program in Salt Lake City. Augustine Mawa has since been self-employed, and was the CEO of a transportation company, “Snowflake Shuttle,” in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mr. Mawa is Currently retired. He has a lifelong involvement in community matters and currently represents family groups in social and cultural occasions. Given his diverse experience, he is a great asset to the community on the MACAUS Advisory Board.
